Rosgeo says in deal with Emerson to replace energy software imports

MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- Russian geological exploration company Rosgeo has signed a contract with U.S. technological company Emerson to localize software for the oil and gas industry by 2022, Rosgeo CEO Sergei Gorkov told reporters on Monday.

“We have signed an agreement with Emerson on localization of the software modules of the Paradigm line. It was signed on December 10 officially…and this agreement will allow us to localize the software products specifically in the Russian Federation,” Gorkov said.

He added that Paradigm is the main program used in the oil industry in the world, accounting for 40–45% of the market of software in the oil and gas industry, including in Russia.
